Care home shares its success with DCCF
Staff and residents at Queensmount Bupa Care Home recently celebrated achieving an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) by holding a coffee morning in aid of Dorset Cancer Care Foundation (DCCF).
The CQC praised the exceptionally safe care and outstanding kindness provided by staff, as well as the home’s person-centred approach and use of innovative therapies to support residents’ health, wellbeing and independence.
To mark the occasion, the home hosted a celebratory event to share the achievement with residents, staff, family members and friends, with proceeds going to DCCF, which supports Dorset families facing financial struggles because of cancer.
Guests enjoyed refreshments and BBQ dishes whilst being serenaded by Jim Etherington, who performed a selection of popular hits.
Jeff Mostyn, Chairman at AFC Bournemouth Football Club and Patron of DCCF also attended.
And the Brunswick Carriage Company treated those in attendance to a magical horse and coach ride around Bournemouth accompanied by Samantha Bumford, Miss South Coast and an Ambassador for DCCF.
