Sunday Social Success – 28th January

We all enjoyed a great Sunday Social at The Sandbanks Hotel in the beautiful Compass Suite – lot’s to celebrate at the start of our 5th Anniversary year, new faces – young and old, a birthday celebration, presentation of fundraising certificates, delicious cakes – and fab sausage rolls by our wonderful volunteer bakers…….. & £684 raised Bravo!

Our Sunday Social was held at The Sandbanks Hotel on 28th January – look out for details of our February Sunday Social at The Plantation. We hope you will join us!

We were delighted to welcome some of the Dorset Explorers who  recently donated over £600 to DCCF,  for which we are very grateful – the Chairman of  DCCF Trustees Chris Thomas was pleased to present them with a Certificate of Appreciation thanking them for their contribution.

Other certificates were awarded to Matt Thomas of Harmony Health Cover for his support and Stuart Rhys-Williams for his sponsored cycling achievement.

We were also pleased to hear from Roy Smooth, Cool Men Awards  founder who outlined his upcoming events  – the Cool Coast Regional Launch Party  will take place at The Cumberland Hotel on Thursday 1st March and DCCF will be one of the two beneficiaries. On Sunday 8th April there will be a ‘Cruising in Style’ event on the Dorset Queen for the Cool Men awards followed by fashion, food and music – proceeds to DCCF.  More information to follow – watch this space!
